For the most part many common people/fans don't care about basketball in general much less the NBA. It's easier for a fan to get ready for that "one big game" each week than getting into games several times a week and some back-to-back games. Now that the playoffs are in full swing these series can last a while especially if they go 7 games. Just too much for time for many.

Bottom line in the South is that football is king and most every other sport takes a back seat or even put in the trunk...that's just how it is.

I actually think the Hornets have a very good chance of winning the series. Denver is probably the weakest 2 seed the west has had in a long time. My pick is Denver in 6 but it wouldn't shock me to see the Hornets win in 7
