I've seen NBA super fan James Goldstein twice. Once was in 2017 when the NBA all star game was in New Orleans, he was riding in a pedicab down Poydras St. The other was in a bar in Boston this June the night before Game 2 of the NBA finals. Scrawny litte baw and his skin is somehow even more leathery in person, but he had a couple of hot blondes with him both times I saw him, so good for him.

Sat next to the guy who wore the Rowdy costume one day at Hooters on Beltline in Irving. He was by himself and all of the waitresses came over and sat down and talked with him. I said something to my waitress about everyone knowing him, and she told me he was Rowdy. When he left he went out to a van with a picture of Rowdy painted on it and drove away. I was surprised he was a black guy, because Rowdy is kind of a country hick looking mascot.

Jimmy used to come to a few Mavericks playoff games. He is the only civilian I ever saw sit in on the postgame interviews in the media area. Cuban treated him like another owner. I suspect other owners did the same. You knew it was a big game when Jimmy was there.

The blonde with Jimmy reminds me of when the Maloof brothers owned the SacKings, and they brought dancers from the casinos to games.

Porn star Jesse Jane and her porn star husband were big Golden State Warriors fans. They came to the two games in Dallas when Don Nelson's Warrior team knocked off the No.1 seed Mavs in the 1st round. She was posing for pics with "fans" while her son looked on. The Mavs won 67 games that season and Dirk was the MVP of the league.
