I enjoyed watching Hardy on the defense.

As a fighter that must be the most demoralizing thing ever

That's funny watching not-overly-tough-looking dude beat a buff dude like that.

Ironically, it was the fact that Hardy turned out to be more skilled than anticipated on the ground that made the fight boring. There wasn't much more GSP could've done to make the fight more exciting, except to trade blows with Hardy--which would have been a disatrous gameplan.

For Hardy? Seems like most thought he was tough as balls. But not offense.

When he said that, my link had gone down, so at the time I was glad to hear.

I agree, just from a fans perspective I love to see a competitive fight or a fight be finished. GSP just is going out doing take downs, technical GnP, and maybe try a submission here and there. Never in any danger anymore.

Just saying for Hardy though he was never in a spot where he could win the fight. It was ding next round back on his back

So how does someone gameplan against a world-class wrestler like GSP?

The only thing I can think is for the for the fighter to bullrush GSP from the start and try and turn things into an all-out brawl.

you gotta just pull a matt serra and get a lucky shot on his jaw when he's shooting in

I'd say crowd him and keep the pressure on him. I think a randy couture style would be perfect

Looks like that's what everyone's been doing... for any grappler of any caliber (including Finch tonight). They square off, hope to get in a shot, and inevitably get clinched or taken down over and over.

dunno...maybe KBeezy could interject some good insight

Rogan made a point, it's not like Hardy is w/out take-down defense or take-down skills..it was just impossible to stop GSP from taking the top position

I wasn thinking the exact same thing... and the moment from Raging Bull when DeNiro lost but kept saying, "You never knocked me down... you never knocked me down" at the end of the fight.
