God and it was so obvious we could torch that au secondary too

Nope, clearly using 2 first rounders and another would-be first rounder in the WR corps along with possibly the strongest arm football has ever seen was not as effective as giving it to Justin Vincent.

Still think we would have lost two games that year if Flynn started. But we still wouldn't have been as good of a team.

it wasn't even just that. That AU secondary was weak, I'm pretty sure they got exposed badly the very next week

Would have beaten Auburn. But winning at Tennessee and Florida would have been tough.

What the frick? JR threw from like 270 yards and completed 60% of his throws. What could Flynn (a guy with less TDs, more INTs, less yards, inferior completition %, etc) do that JR couldn't? Child please.

I think we would have lost two games. Wouldn't have been as good of a team.

And against Auburn, Flynn could have ran with the ball. Russell refused to scramble and try to rush it himself that game.

ETA: maybe he could have thrown the ball in the endzone on the last play.

If I remember right, JR threw 3 picks against UF. I doubt Flynn does this. Plus we never really got to see Flynn with Bowe and Davis in 2007. Not saying JR shouldn't have been starting, but he did frick up a lot.

Too many errors were made in the Florida game that didn't even involve Russell. Sure, he fumbled at the one, but he had nothing to do with the muffed punt and Doucet shitting all over himself on the kickoff.

Why? Flynn was more turnover prone than JR, and that UF defense was sick. Reggie Nelson had Lafell so shook up he caused one of those ints on a perfectly fine pass from JR by not even jumping for a deep ball.

Don't even remember LaFell playing in that game.

You need to rewatch that game and watch the play of our WRs, especially Bowe.

Maybe he didn't. I could have sworn that was him, but ESPN says he didn't play that game. One of LSU's younger receivers had a deep ball thrown and didn't even jump for it, resulting in a Reggie Nelson pick

He had 1 INT, but had only 130 yds. He had a terrible game, but to be fair, he was handicapped by the coaching staff's idiocy with the RBs.

that was lafell he balled up on the ground like a little bitch after getting hit and let nelson run right on top of him with the int return

Its a shsme people don't realize how stupid this is.

There were 3 undefeated teams. Auburn starting #3 would have made no difference

Anyone of those teams could have been ranked #1 all year. If Auburn would have been ranked #1 they would have been in the game.

The problem was people weren't giving the Auburn program the respect they were to USC and OU. Auburn had just as many stars on their team and was just as strong. I think they had the top scoring defense and the offense was fricking ridiculous since they had 3 first round draft picks in the back field.
