My 8th grade year ended 2002. Won parish 7th grade year. Tied with Dutchtown 8th grade year for the championship. We took them to overtime and won an exciting game. We had to win because we had been “upset” by Gonzales a couple weeks prior on our home field. Will never forget that. Many of our players were drooling over dance team/ cheer doing stretches during pre game. Coach Babin made everyone to the right of the goal posts run gassers.

Southwest Regional Tournament. Winner of this tournament goes to the LLWS.

Two totally different leagues. Gonzales is hanging on by skin of their teeth. Ascension Parish is really starting to flourish. Heard the guy who runs the league is an a$$hole. That cant last long with an a$$ running things

Gonzales is a complete money scheme when it comes to youth sports. It becomes very clickish in the middle school. I played for the cheapest team (STA Wildcats) meanwhile, by the time we got to high school, the same kids who played for East Side Raiders and their parents would almost monopolize the booster clubs.
