There's nothing to deflect. It just means more. I threw it in for no reason whatsoever. It bothered you. Get over it.

I figured you couldn't explain why "it just means more."

I already explained it.

College football offers 100+ more teams. You'll get more games, more offensive (and defensive for that matter) "styles" of play than the NFL. That can be said due to the poor quality of play though. Could you imagine the Patriots running the Wing-T?
I like them both, but have a preference for college just because I didn't have a rooting interest until the Panthers started up in Carolina in 1995.
I have generations of family members that went to Carolina, LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia, and a few unfortunate bastards that went to Clempson. I have a couple of family members that played football at The Citdael, Furman, and one at Wofford. While those certainly aren't premier teams, it still brings the collegiate athlete draw into the mix.
I'll say that in terms of sheer watching, the NFL is easier to watch and less frustrating. The players are just so much better. However, that takes some of the excitement out of the game as well. How many "Kick 6's" or Boise State's "Statue of Liberty" are you going to get in the NFL? Pretty much never. They players are too good.
The NFL also lacks that David vs. Goliath upset factor (Appalachian State - Michigan, ULM - Alabama, Louisiana Tech - Alabama, Georgia Southern - Florida, The Citadel - South Carolina). While it would be shocking, the Cleveland Browns beating the Patriots just doesn't have that same shock and awe as the upsets mentioned.
