Marching band.

Colleges don't threaten to move to Las Vegas if you don't build them a new stadium.

NFL is 100% corporate. That isn't bad, and college is largely corporate, but less so by its inherence as an amateur sport.

Diverse playing styles. College offers more surprises, experimental schemes, etc.

It just means more.

I don't have 5 reasons. I just like CFB more. I watch a total of 2.5 NFL games a year. I usually watch about that much each Saturday during the CFB season.

I watched 3.5 NFL games last year because I was in Seattle and the friend I was with is a Seahawks fan. I would have rather gone to a Sounders game.

I knew you couldn't talk about football with mentioning soccer.

Which colleges are slowly deviating away from with piped in music, etc.

No. but they'll change conferences at the drop of a hat. Who cares about a 100 year rivalry? It's all about TV markets and $.

You've got guys fighting for a spot on a 53 man roster. In the NFL, if you don't perform, you're out of a job.

Yeah, I don't follow how it "just means more."

Meaning is entirely in the eye of the beholder.

I would have rather gone to the Huskies game also. Better? I wanted to see CenturyLink. Was an absolutely great stadium. The Seahawks/Dolphins game was just really boring. Was a gorgeous day with a great view of the city. The game was just more boring than 90% of the college games I've been to.

If an ESPN personality said this, there would be a thread right now about how stupid he is.

Oh no! They'll leave conferences? That's terrible!

Well that went over your head. It just means more.

Thanks for going out of your way to argue with me on nothing.

5 reasons NFL is superior:

The level of play is a million times better. You're watching the best of the best.

You have more of an attachment to players. Unlike college where your best guys are gone in 2-3 years, your franchise players like Brady, are there for 10+ years

The games are shorter

A true playoffs that kicks the ever living shite out of bowl season.

Fantasy football

And I'll add a sixth: because I say it is

I'll add another.

Because Saturday is for fishing. Sunday is for football.

It's in the Bible.

Also, severe lack of parity in college ball. You can go from shitty to a contender in the NFL very quickly.

But but but but....the tradition! The pageantry! Gosh darn it, it just means more!

(All said while wearing my cotton cardigan with a big S - for "State" and waving my felt pennant)

Try telling a Jets fan - "it just means more."

Or a Pats fan.

Just because some parts of the country have elevated CFB to mean more to themselves doesn't mean it's a universal fact or feeling.

NE doesn't give a shite about CFB except to see who they are going to draft for their NFL team.

NE fans don't "adopt" a college they never attended.

Colleges aren't their Pro teams.

They have Pro teams.

I enjoy CFB more than pro football, but the NFL is objectively a much better product. I just have more emotionally invested in the college game.

Defense and quarterback play are, generally speaking, awful in college.

Nfl has went to a shite product. College football shits all over it. The regular season is boring. College fb regular season importance is what makes it so good.
