Central Lafourche is good at soccer (12-4-3 last year). South & Thibodaux stink, HLB & Terrebonne are decent to good at times. It'll likely be a battle between CL & Destrehan for district.
We were in district with Westgate and New Iberia last year both teams that are better than any River teams at soccer. CL split games with each of them, but choked away a game to HLB.

CL obsessed much? SL is playing on TV and all you want to do is talk about CL.
Bottom line is neither team has been relevant for a very long time. However it's been a lot longer since SL was a state championship threat than it's been for CL. Every year from 84-91 & even 95 & 96 CL was a legit threat. SL hasn't been since the 70's.
Anyway Lockport has back to back state titles in 63 & 64 and that school merged with Raceland to became CL in 66. The teachers moved to CL, the head coach moved to CL and in 68 CL lost to Hahnville in the state championship game. A Hahnville team CL beat for the district title just a few weeks before.

Maybe Gary Kolosa? punted for CL and at LSU I believe.
But those guys were early 90's. I don't think we had a soccer team until 1994 and I don't remember any other CL kickers signing but we sure had some good ones. CL's kicker this year has a shot to go somewhere. He's been our kicker since he was a freshman and is only a junior now. He's hit about dozen fg's this year and either him or the Tbonne kicker are the best in the district.

I mean, we all know when south loses its someone else's fault.

Thibodaux beat Neville 18-15 in the dome to win the first 5A state championship in 1991. That's the one I'm thinking of. Other than that Thibodaux has never been to the dome.
South Terrebonne also won 4A that year.

That was a great moment tonight. If Luke hadn't got hurt this team easily beats Terrebonne (4th string qb threw for 177 yds and 3 tds) and likely beats SL too (had 300 yards of offense, out gained them with absolutely no passing game).
CL = only team to beat a River Parish team on the field so far this year.
Bayou 2-12 vs River - 1 CL win vs Hahnville, 1 SL win via Forfeit vs Destrehan
