Both of them are dumb asses. The boss told him not to wear the tie then don't wear the damn tie even if it is wrong. If you want to keep your job or stay on the bosses good side. Don't need to even talk about the boss if you watched the video.

And making it even worse, the man wore it because his grandma was a Packers fan who had recently died and was buried two days before her beloved team's NFC Championship game matchup

It is extreme. The manager acted like a child.

They probably didn't get along before this incident and the boss was just looking for a reason to fire him.

It's no different than pro teams only wearing certain sports gear when they have a contract to advertise for that company. The business was in an advertising promotion deal with the Bears and the guy was going against it. Remember when Michael Jordan draped the American flag over him to cover up the reebok emblem on the team uniform?

It's the same thing.

ESPN interviewed this guy. He is no "class act". He's a sleazy car salesman. Manager was probly just looking for a reason to fire him so I don't feel sorry for him.

That's crazy. Just because he lives in a certain area doesn't mean he has to support that local team

If the company that pays you has a promotional deal with that team (business) you pretty much do.

That's why you used to see Tiger wearing nike stuff and drinking gatorade.

That's why Jeff Gordon drinks pepsi and Tony Stewart drinks Coca-Cola.

It's all business.

If the boss were a decent boss, he would have issued a warning or something. He would not have fired the guy, which is an extreme act.

But then again, he's a car salesman, even if he is a manager.

We don't know the whole story. Maybe he did tell him first thing. We just don't know. Maybe the guy was really wearing the tie just to stir things up. Kind of like wearing a Orioles cap in the Yankees owner's box.
