Exactly, he gets hit in the wrist or wrong spot and he's out of baseball for months.

As opposed to throwing a substantially more dense object at a higher velocity against an even more defenseless player?

Dumb logic like yours is precisely why this idiotic garbage is even remotely accepted in baseball.

Strickland's punch hit Harper's arm in swing. Harper barely connected

If he hadn't caught Harper on the arm, Harper would have hurt him with that punch.

If Harper wasn't already the coolest MLB player he certainly is now. Just wish he would have thrown his helmet at him instead of tossing it aside.

This. if he doesn't hit his hand then it would've been a nice punch.

I think the helmet more so just slipped. Looked like his intent was to throw it at him. Maybe he spiked it down, but i doubt it

He still connected square on Strickland's nose. Guarantee Strickland will feel that once his adrenaline dies down.

kinda douche move by Harper hurling the helmet do what you gotta do but you can't bring a weapon with you

Dude didn't even try to play it off as unintentional. He straight threw Harper. A 90+ mph fastball is quite the weapon. I wish Harper would have had the chance to cleat that bitch.

Plus, nose/mouth area is where you don't want to get hit.
