I'll say this. What I saw of their defense impressed me. And that was with Battier down.

and the Hornets didn't?

Dallas and Phoenix will be fighting for the 5-7 seeds this year. Neither Golden State nor Memphis are playoff teams.

Ok, now you are just being a contrarian.

They gave up 102 to a "bad" Dallas team.

The Hornets gave up 95 to Suns without Chandler.

And Chandler plays a much larger role on the Hornets than Battier does on Rockets.

dallas is in danger of missing the playoffs

they did NOTHING to get better this year

phoenix added matt barnes, who is a very very good sg/sf, and will now be able to use shaq the way he is meant to be

phoenix, imo of course, got better by getting rid of d'antoni, although i still think it was a weird ending to that whole mess

No way Dallas misses the playoffs barring major injury, they are a lock for a 5-7 seed, just like Phoenix.

No, I am telling Karma he needs to give credit where credits due...and not only present points that support his side.

I have said the Rockets are good, as are the Hornets...and that neither is likely winning it all this year.

i'm not talking about the points. I'm talking about the way they defended. the amount of pressure put on all shots and the defensive intensity.

there was still a bunch of breakdowns in the rockets' d that allowed josh howard to score in the 1st quarter. It'll be interesting to see how that all meshes together once they figure out where everybody is on the floor, and where the help will be coming from.
