ok, with that being said, Addai instead of Dunn?
Well, it's your decision. If you have a strong gut feeling, you should go with it. I like Addai, but Dunn probably isn't a bad bet. Thing about TB is that they'll use Dunn even if the score is lopsided. Dunn has almost as many yards receiving as he does rushing, which means he's never really out of it. Couple with that the fact that Dunn has had a few monster games in his career, and you could have a recipie for a big day. Notice I said "could."

On the other hand, Addai had a big game against Houston a couple of weeks ago, whereas Dunn sans Graham had only a nice day against the non-existent Detroit D. (Ex. A-MJD, Ex. B-Chris Johnson, Ex. C-LenDale White.)

All that said, I'm leaning towards Addai.

Okay, I've got Clinton and Run DMC.

As of now darren's in my starting lineup because of portis' bag o' injuries and because portis got me next to nothing week 1 against the giants.

Thoughts?

This is a difficult decision in my mind because of the first rule of fantasy, never sit your star for a mediocre player based on a match up. But there's an injury issue here, so it's a good idea to explore the issue.
I just checked the injury report on Portis and it says "Knee oblique." I have no idea what that means. Maybe there's a knee injury there that no one can see? At the same time, the report I read said don't worry about. Portis is likely. However, I would wait to see what John Clayton says about it. Clayton is by far the most reliable when it comes to injuries. If Portis is a go and the knee inury can't be seen because it doesn't exist, then I would hate to have him on my bench in a game of this kind of significance.

That said, have you noticed that no team has allowed more rushing yards than the Chiefs, except the Lions? That statistic would normally be enough for me to start anyone vs. KC over anyone playing New York. But then I'd remember the first rule of fantasy (see above).

I say wait to see what John Clayton does before you pull the trigger on this one. If Portis is a go, do you really want to sit him in favor of a guy who's had maybe two decent games this year?

wrlakers is a stat/percentage guy and has probably the most respect of anyone here. I am more of a "gut feeling" person and it bites me in the butt sometimes ...good luck with your decision

I am a gut-feeling type of person, too. My thought is that you don't have a strong gut feeling if you're on this board surfing for input from guts you've never seen. That's why I try to provide what I think is useful information. Then the owner/coach/GM of the team can make up his own mind/gut.

I appreciate it. I hope you didn't think I didn't. I was trying to be funny with the "guts they've never seen" comment. Come on, made you laugh, didn't it?

No way, man, and I mean no offense. But I'm pretty sure the law is the opposite of engineering.

The law is not so different from engineering if you think about it

I'm about to leave the computer to go watch the OU v. OSU game. Before I go, you have any thoughts on whether Jacobs is playing to tomorrow? My opponent has Jacobs and Ward. He's our league commissioner. Last week, he switched out Jacobs for Ward AFTER Ward scored a TD. That was the appeal that I worked on half the frickin week. Now that he knows he can't switch after the game starts, does he go with Jacobs or Ward? Is Jacobs going to play? BTW, his other back is Hillis. He left Westbrook on his bench Thursday due to what his wife called "a minor lapse," which I take to mean alcohol induced memory loss.

If I were on your side of things, I would hope he starts Jacobs regardless of his "status". Ward scares me a lot more than Jacobs this week. Holler at me in the am and I will explain...

I won't be back at the computer until after the noon games tomorrow. Got a busy schedule between now and then (football, alcohol, much sleep, then football again).
