Interesting thread. I pull for two baseball teams out of my state, the Indians bc my father's family has Ohio roots and I acquired Indians posters and whatnot from my family. Plus, they were dominating in the 90's. I also root for the Rockies bc they were the first team I ever saw in person as a kid.
My question is this, I've gone through phases where I have liked teams bc of players, and once the players leave it's over. As a kid, I went to a mariners game in the Kingdome and saw Griffey, Arod, Randy Johnson, etc. it's hard not to jump on that bandwagon, but when the players left, I became indifferent about them. Anybody else have those phases as a youngster?
