Naturally. Only Cubs fans pay to watch a shitty product.

Might as well trade Roy O, Lance, and Tejada while they still have some value and build up the farm system.

I think he means they would not be playing the Jets if the Bengals came into NY giving a crap.

Would you rather play a really weak Jets team after seeing all they have in the Playoffs or a deadly offensive team like the Texans who have already beaten the Bengals in Cinci this year at full strength?

The Bengals get to take a week off and would meet a much weaker Jets later on instead of the Texans. Since they gain nothing with respect to seeding (and possibly run the risk of injury) by trying to win this game, I don't see how that's anything but the smart coaching decision.

I was implying that if the Bengals gave them everything they had the Jets wouldnt be playing in the playoffs

I disagree. The game would have been closer, but the Jets are playing better football right now. They are going to win next week as well. Houston making the playoffs would have been a quick one and done for them, so I'm glad things ended up the way they did.

or you're a bitter Texans fan pissed your team didn't take care of business this year.

Exactly. Texans only have to blame themselves. If they didn't choke against the Colts and Titans, 2 games they should've won, and didn't get their asses beat in their other losses, they would be in the playoffs. But Texans didn't take care of business. And the Jets deserved to be in the playoffs over the choking Texans.

Tejada basically lost all of his value and now he's gone for nothing. I'm a big proponent of rapidly rebuilding through restocking our farm system and getting young big league talent. Unfortunately, Drayton would never approve of Oswalt/Berkman trades. Remember how loyal he was to Biggio and Bagwell (until the insurance claim)?

That actually shocked me when I heard it on the radio the other day.

I bet the Astros attendance is abysmal this year. They're going to be terrible.

One of the Astros best attendance records in history was 07 when they were shite. They usually average around 35k which is top half of the league. Not outstanding but people around here still like to go to Stros games regardless. That said I also think this year could see a slight dip cause a lot of season ticket holders arent happy with the team direction.

Which is why I hate that bastard. He spends money for the most part. Just not wisely.

I wish he'd just sell the team to someone like Cuban.

I went to the Niners/Texans game this year when your season was still relevant and there was much promise for your team.

Our season was relevant up until about 15 min ago

Your tailgating atmosphere sucks, there was a ridiculous number of empty seats at game time, Niner fans were everywhere, and most importantly you made no noise.

You aren't on the same planet as Saints fans.

and the sad thing is Kubiak will be back next year.

Although I doubt we could have landed Cowher or Shannahan. I would have at least liked them to have tried. The Texans job would likely have been the top one open in the offseason with Dallas finishing strong this year.

Apparently, he almost sold the team in 2008 but the deal fell through because of the economy.

Then feel free to apply the appropriate metric. You're probably right. The best fans don't show up for games or create an intimidating atmosphere.

Is it most Hispanic fans? You win then.

Ya this season is bitter sweat for me too. Knowing what I know now I wish we would have lost out after 4 in a row to get his arse fired. Part of the reason I wasnt depressed we lost to Penn State cause im still hoping we fire Lesticles

I think we actually had a shot at Cowher. Shannahan is all Washington.

Wasn't trying to be funny, no sarcasm necessary. That's the only thing I could think of that the Texans fanbase has cornered.

No one event triggered it. Ever since I've known what football was I've been one.

I'm guessing this occurred during the '80s or '90s?

I was too young at the time to recognize the magnitude of their success until I was older, if that's the direction you're trying to go.

And the beauty of post-03 Niners football is that the bandwagon is completely empty, much like the Texans. So don't try it.

Most Saints fans I know have been fans since the Reggie Bush draft
