id you come into contact with this horse at some point? I feel like I made an offhand comment after searching the pedigree when I saw into mischief on the entry list and this has taken off. An evd thread should never go this long.
You seem exceptionally salty about a random arse $4k claimer. Who happens to be a full sibling to a G3 winner
I can’t imagine how angry you get in actually frustrating facets of life
Not angry at all you think the world of this horse but hes just a 4K claimer. How would you react to an Allowance horse? The horse wasnt claimed because hes an average 4k claimer. Carry on......

Honestly I don’t see how anyone makes money in horse racing owning horses. IMHO you have to be extremely lucky or well connected or in the business. I think if an average Joe claims a horse his chances of ever making money is basically 0. I’ve thought about going halves but the $2000 training bill is just too much to put out every month. The horse came out second so he got $1600 and I believe the trainer and jockey each get cuts of the winnings also so by the time you do all of that you will have very little to put toward the training bill.

My goal is for the horse to pay its way. If i can do that then i think im ahead of the game. Many people dont have a clue where to spot horses and that includes owners and trainers and when u cant do that then you will lose money in this game.

It’s hard - my brother owned horses for a while - my cousin is a trainer so he gave him a good deal on training costs - but upkeep is the biggest expense - and if they don’t win, then it’s a bust
My brother always looks at the claimers but he hasn’t gotten one in a while

Look guy. It was a fun horse racing convo cause we don’t have much of them. An exotic horse to be racing in the racino circuit. So it peaked the interest of the people. Shitty tracks and shitty places don’t often see stud fees so high on their programs.
It’s my current life mission to get my picture in the Gillispie County fairgrounds winners circle. They run 6f races their with $9-10k purses. This would be a cheap way to do that. And if it doesn’t win it is already half way on its way to Mexico.
So go claim one of the Arch/ArchArch ones buddy

There were bigger $ ones going for $20k at Belmont today though the Peter Brandt horse scratched: Brazillion. His horses are legit this spring

Dude thats a rat. I bet the trainer would sell the horse to you at a discounted price after the race.
Horse has won two straight at the $5k claiming level since this thread
You are wrong Double Oh. You are way wrong.

Solid bump
The OP has not come back to report on his trip. Hopefully he survived the O.P.

I said the horse would be a solid claim, so many conditions it could fit in, and beat the shite out of bad claimers from big tracks.
Some of the shittiest high level claimers and bottom claimers are in california. Just horrendous the bottom level claimers are in Cali, especially at the big tracks.
Even the top claimers are mediocre and would get crushed in Midwest circuits(oaklawn is speed all day, so cali horses do well there, when they cant run 21 4/5 every race, they fold)
