. Therefore, a lot of white kids who love sports and never make the basketball or football teams but want to stay involved in the sport gravitate towards coaching. Why is it shunned these guys work their ways up the ranks and do well in that area of the game?

There was a thread awhile back that touched on this. These guys go into graduate assistant roles then maybe analysts and gradually make the climb through the coaching ladder. No one acknowledges how much work and effort over years it takes to do this and just thinks the guy who was the superstar in college should just be able to jump into coaching, and on top of it, get the spot because of the color of his skin.

The college and pro leagues are so involved in analytics that is it surprising that jobs arent going to the guys that dont completely immerse themselves in it?
