I'm gonna say football is the easiest.
With basketball, there is a lot of skill involved. You can be really athletic but not have post moves, shooting ability, dribbling skills, etc.
Basketball is a combination of skill and athleticism.
And you can make it to the college ranks from just being 7 feet... but you won't go pro if you can't play.
Football is the ultimate raw athleticism sport. The whole game is based on speed, power, agility, etc.

quote:It takes more than physical attributes to be a good rebounder. There's a reason that Barkley and Rodman had as much success as they did. Some players can anticipate where the ball is going to be and can get there quickly... Some can't. Patric Young has all of the physical attributes to be a fantastic rebounder yet he struggles there, and it's not due to a lack of effort/work.
I didn't say Center, but you could probably make an NBA team if your physical attributes allowed you to be a really good rebounder and bang down low, especially if you were a good FT shooter, but then that's different.
I think that being 7-foot and somewhat athletic will get you into some form of college basketball, but it isn't going to get you into the NBA.

LOL@ people saying basketball. I know a lot of "Tall" people that can't play against Div 1 college women. If they can't make it against D1 women, how in the hell are they gonna make it in the pros.

I don't think you could name 5 current NFL players that could play in the NBA.

I think we're focusing on the wrong position with basketball. I would imagine if you're 6'8", 220, and show some freakish athleticism, an NBA team might reach on you at small forward. God knows Julian Wright was in the league long enough without any skills whatsoever. Examples abound of marginal players who play the 3 or 4, have the physical tools but just do not develop the skills to be good at that level.
I might still switch my answer to football just because of the (incredibly ironically-named) skill positions, but using the center as the basis of the discussion for basketball is rather silly since it's probably the second most skill-centric position (after PG) in the game.

I would say the easiest would be a keeper in soccer. Get a lengthy keeper that has good agility and reaction time and he might find himself on a professional team.

If Jimmy Graham couldn't play in NBA what make you think anyone else in the NFL could play in the NBA?
