Drexel may end up being one of the most unique at large teams sitting on the bubble. Here are some numbers to ponder.
Drexel
27-6 (16-) in the CAA (Lost to VCU in the finals)
RPI- 67
SOS- 209
Top wins
VCU
George Mason
Cleveland State
Bad Losses
Delaware
Georgia State
Norfolk State
They were just on a 19 game winning streak before losing to VCU in their conference finals.
They are 1-3 vs the RPI top 50
They are 4-3 vs the RPI top 100
16 of their wins are against teams with an RPI of 200+
Im not Joe Lunardi, but I say OUT

Drexel is the main reason why the tourney expanded. They are in 100%.

I think they're better than Seton Hall, Tennessee, Northwestern and Oregon...all of whom they're battling with for those last few spots. I would have them in, I think they're a very good team that could make a Sweet 16 run.

Iona has a FAR better resume
Better RPI and SOS and has more top 100 wins.
Yet, Lunardi likes Drexel better.

Iona should definitely get in. I don't even know why there's a debate with them. They're a very good team.

Iona: 25-7 (15-3) in the MAAC
RPI:42 (Better than Drexel)

Out
There are about 100 teams that couldve done as good or better with that schedule.

I just can't get why Lunardi is so high on Drexel, their only quality win all season was at home against a VCU team they lost to in the finals of the conference tournament.

25-2 in last 27 games probably.

I don't think they'll get in, they just don't have good enough numbers even in a year where most bubble teams have really underwhelming resumes.
They're also another team that Lunardi and Palm are split on. They're not even on Palm's first four out (Texas, NC State, Oregon, Ole Miss).

Against teams with RPI's over 150 with the exception of George Mason and VCU

Who should I trust more Lunardi or Palm??? LOL
Joey Brackets does have a Ph. D in Bracketology, what does Palm have?

Palm had UGA in and Bama out last year. Joe had the opposite.

In, but only from the eye test.

In addition to his duties at ESPN, Lunardi is the Assistant Vice President of Marketing at Saint Joseph's and does color commentary for the Hawks
