The max is max on your roster. So you cant stock pile players from the waiver wire

Thats what I was thinking of doing, but with Brady there getting 6 points a TD I just had to bounce the idea off others.

then go with Jackson

the main reason I say this is that there is no true back-up to SJax.

also bye weeks

Week 4 Detroit, Indianapolis, Miami, New England, New York Giants, Seattle
Week 5 Cleveland, New York Jets, Oakland, St. Louis
Week 6 Buffalo, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Tennessee
Week 7 Arizona, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Philadelphia
Week 8 Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Green Bay, Houston, Minnesota
Week 9 Carolina, New Orleans, San Diego, San Francisco
Week 10 Baltimore, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Washington

stay away from weeks 4 and 8 (6 teams each versus 4) in the beginning as
players from those weeks are more likely to fall later due to people skipping them to avoid bye week conflicts.

I draft 2nd in a 12 team league on Monday. Not sold on AP or Westbrook. Any thoughts?

depends on the set-up of your league, pos player starters and scoring

I would take Westbrook even though you are not sold on him.

with K Curtis out with a Hernia and Reggie Brown hamstring issues (a maybe for the opener)...westbrook will be even more a focal point for the offense.

But there is another thing. If you are close with the people in your league you may want to just grab AP anyway and trade him for 2 mid-grade players.

Had LT and Brady last year, had best record going into playoffs, 12-2, ended up in third. An 8-6 team won it.

welker just left the game with a rib injury...trainers are looking at him on the sideline....he was fielding a preseason punt

that's just stupid to have him back there in the preaseason....really, really stupid. He is a proven punt returner, and arguably your most valuable WR. He's Brady's security blanket and a first down machine.
