Mets won again last night. Marte got it started with a 2 run homer run on some soft contact with an exit velo of 108MPH off the bat.

Bassitt went 8 innings allowing 1 run (unearned) and giving the bullpen some much needed rest.

The Mets are now 7 games ahead of Atlanta in the NL East and have won 13 of their last 15 games.

it’s kind of fun following a team that’s winning for once

we moved Baty up to AAA. We now have Alvarez, Vientos, and Baty on the doorstep. One of them has to make the show at some point this season i would think

Yeah not sure who gets sent down or DFA.. Dom is currently in Syracuse too. If it’s Alvarez, Nido is the obvious choice probably at this point in the season.

I would rather keep Nido up but I am sure we are stuck with McCann. Don't see them sending him down

Dom should have been traded after his covid season

For sure. We got JD out of here. He’s next. I think Dom could be a serviceable player but needs more consistent time.

Stat of the day: Pete Alonso has reached base safely in 16 of his 17 plate appearances against left-handed pitchers since the All-Star break. That's a .941 on-base percentage.

The Mets face a left-handed starter in Mike Minor tonight.
