Did anyone else catch this little nugget?

Only 7 schools in NCAA history have had a 4,000 yard passer and a 1,000 yard rusher.
Oklahoma had a 4,000 yard passer and TWO 1,000 yard rushers.
Unbelievable.

If a record this impressive were susceptible to conference defenses sucking, it wouldn't be a record.

That's hard to say. Did the SEC have no offense when its defenses were so great?
Even if they don't play defense, it's still nearly impossible to score 60 points in however many games in a row OU did.

i will credit the two 1,000 yard rushers is highly impressive. most of those teams in the big 12 are pass efficient squads.

I am not trying to give Oklahoma a hand job, but for real, that is something.
A hundred and fifty schools play football for a hundred years and only 7 teams in those tens of thousands or maybe hundreds of thousands of seasons have a 4,000 passer and 1,000 passer and Oklahoma puts up a 4,000 passer and two 1,000 rushers.
Any way you look at it that is unreal.
