I agree it's an unnecessary risk from 6 inches out

If they did see what we did they wouldn't have a job. You'd be the coach

It's an extremely low percentage play regardless of a perfect throw or not.

I hate it so much. Its a first down play at best and only if you're outside the 3

The pack won. Is it really necessary to bitch about this play?

Peyton just threw what I would consider a "perfect pass" to Thomas for a TD

And yet if Thomas had a slight misstep on the way down, it would've been incomplete. Because he was an inch away from both the sideline and the back of the endzone

Made this thread right after the play

Bumped it when the broncos scored a TD with the fade route to show I hate the call regardless

You seriously can't hate the call when it's PFM and arguably the best WR in football.

The infallible logic of the fade route:

Setting - my backyard

- Hey man, can you toss me my phone? I'm only 7 feet away from you.

- Sure! But I think it'd be easier if you sprinted away from me, heading towards the back corner of the fence line as fast as your legs could take you.

- Wow, are you certain about that? I feel like you'd have to throw it almost perfectly for this to be effective. And what about that really tall bush that will keep me from seeing clearly?

- You raise an interesting point. But hey, if this wasn't such a great idea, people wouldn't do it all the time, right? HUT frickING HUT HUT!
