That's what I was wondering. She took a quote about trying to rebound against them being equivalent to a bar fight and extrapolated it to thugs and monkeys.

This is quite literally all she has. Nobody has called her team any of that except comparing competing against them like going into a bar fight. She knows no one will call her out so she rolls with the victim card.
