History says no.

He's also hitting just .265 @ Lancaster which is hitter friendly.

I am not saying I'm not excited at all about Correa. I do think he will end the year @ Corpus.

But right now, MLB pitchers would eat that kid alive.

What the hell are you talking about

Jeff Luhnow has stated publically that he wanted springer to get more experience in right field before being brought up. He's played nearly half his games at center. Does anyone really think Springer isn't better than at least half the players on the Astros team? really?

Dude, Dexter Fowler is the CF. George Springer is the RF.

Good intentions doesn't mean they know what's best. Their approach will lead to a bandwagon fanbase similar to the marlins. There is no kid in Houston that is going to grow up a diehard Astros fan.

So let me get this straight.....

So you believe they should have just dropped CF altogether for Springer? Even with Fowler's injury history? ..and Springer, in the long run, the Astros CF.

To fit your argument, I like the way you worded your beef and failed to mention that he's played MORE games in Right Field than he has in CF.

I know. I was just providing facts as to why Luhnow's proposition for keeping springer in the minors doesn't hold water. If you think he needs RF experience, then you put him at RF. You don't platoon him through other positions.

I'm glad you know of their intentions. It's also good to know that you are an elite future teller and know the thoughts of everyone in Houston.

With players like Springer, Singleton, Correa, yes, no one will want to watch those sorts of players.

Your logic is impeccable.

With all that said, all I can think of is....

Why not?

Fowler has a history of injuries. Fowler may not be in Houston for more than 2 years.

Do you REALLY think players can just immediately adjust to ANY OF positions? Really?

YES WE WANT TO WATCH THEM!!! It's what the fanbase will be excited about. My beef is that they hold high profile, talented project in the minors for contract leverage vs giving the fans something to cheer for. They aren't serving their fan base by holding them down in the minors longer than necessary. Stop being cheap asses.

Yes. And it's been shown time and again as players move positions throughout their careers. Springer will be just fine at any OF position. And it's not like he has never player RF before this year.

Again, I'm not even down on Correa. I just think it would serve him best to at least get to AA

Oklahoma City fan maybe.

ETA: my son likely will be too. These past 3 years have just been so ugly and I feel like management isn't giving their fans a good product on the field despite the cards they were handed.
