I think the confusion here is people are focused on it being playoff money, but Cali clearly doesn’t distinguish between regular season money and playoff money. Cali treats it as 1 big pot not 2 separate pots.. Cali is saying you are spending 8 working days in the state therefore we are taxing your yearly compensation at 8/365th
