I think rookie contracts have that included in there already, certain suspensions void the remaining guaranteed money on the deal
I believe Fournette got his guaranteed money voided after a 1 game suspension from the team. But no one will agree to that on an extension, especially someone with a spotty suspension history, outside of a guy like Josh Gordon who wouldn’t have much choice

NFLs drug testing system is pretty easy to get past, but if you slip up once, or if you slipped up in college, you’ll be put in the abuse program and they are on your shite like white on rice. You get tested an insane amount of times and your suspensions ramp up big time.
A failed NBA test (which is very hard to fail), starts off at a 5 game suspension (equals out to less than a full NFL game by comparison) and you can catch a few of those 5 game slap on the wrists before they start really cracking down on you, and like you said it’s usually only for major shite
Tyreke Evans got banned for a year, dude must’ve been smoking crack on his way to the drug test
