As a final stamp to this thread, not playing in this game hurts his draft status.

There's already lots of questions about him, so this was his best chance to make a name for himself draftwise. A big performance against a Saban D on this stage probably puts him in a much higher orbit.

He obviously won't be a guy who impresses at the combine so this was it for him. Again, if he wasn't really hurt, there was no reason in the world for him to be out there.

I think you have a bunch of Longhorn haters trying to be needlessly contrarian to rile others.

thanks, I saw that and I'm glad they got what they deserved. I'm all for opposing viewpoints, but reckless stupidity is unacceptable.

There were some other people in this though who were on point. Reddman was a beast in here.

I really thought this thread was going to make me start bleeding from my eye sockets.

The good news is that if that happened, I could just get a cortisone injection, and everything would have been fine.

Quite a bit different than a guy popping right up after a pretty bland hit and jogging to the sideline doing nothing more than shaking his arm one time...

You are absolutely insane if you think he wasn't legitimately hurt. I can't even understand the cynicism here to think that he "pussed out" or something else. Some of the stupidest shite I've ever read.

Par for the course here IMO

i'm thinking of starting a long winded thread today about the stupidity of sports fans in general and whether it's indicative of our general stupidity or if it's a special case.

It's a lot of work and I'm not sure I'm up for it. But after another season of the Rant, and this shite now, I've about had it.

OR, you realize you're dealing with the nervous system.

You can call it a bland hit all you want, but until you take that hit in that spot in your throwing arm, then I don't want to hear it.

You will come off as being condescending, given that many here know your true identity. It's probably not even worth it.

I feel that way from time to time. I pretty much abandoned the Rant altogether, and when I get sick of some of the idiots on the O-T, I just take a break from that board for awhile. It's rare that I feel I need to do that on the MSB, but it happens.

i like how he used cortisone as his fixer upper shot.

it takes three days for it to work. So if they were still playing OT on Sunday, Colt would've been their guy.

What he means to say is they probably would've injected Toradol (holy shite this is fantastic). Either way, neither would do ANYTHING for numbness.

yeah that's what I thought. It's not meant to be a full scale attack, but rather just wondering why so many people fail to educate themselves on something.

The people that will argue til they're blue in the face against mountains of evidence because they "just know" is unbelievable to me. I just want to know the breakdown of this thinking between people who never were athletes vs. failed athletes.

These things trip me out sometimes. And TBH, I know TONS of people that I've played with, who are just like regular fans when it comes to other sports. They lose all perspective.

it basically makes you not feel anything for a few hours. It helps to battle through something serious but you really have to play.

And just to be clear for the banned idiot who is certainly still lurking this thread, it would do NOTHING if you were numb.

Well, I still contend he got hit in the back. None of the angles I've seen show any shoulder/arm contact.

But it doesn't really matter. I fought this battle in while you were AWOL.

it's really weird

they'll buy into media hype/nonsense and completely forget that they're in the same shoes.

I think sports just have a way of making peoples mind wander to weird places. Like how the backup QB is always the next greatest thing ever, or using revisionist history and so on.

that's a lot of research and typing but it's an interesting thought.

I love the freakanomic type books, maybe I'll find some economist friends who will do all the leg work.
