Ryan Allen's 85 yard punt was a thing of beauty

What stood out to me was that Te'o somehow received the Lombardi Award (award for best lineman)

Is Ryan Allen the best transfer in Tech history?

He got dominated by freakin Oregon State. He also had a lot more carries.

I don't understand how the Tulane kicker won the award over Hopkins and Sturgis. The dude plays in a dome and I'm not sure how many pressure kicks he had to make for a 2-win team.

probably going 20 for 20 had something to do with it

Ball:
332 1,730 5.2 67 21 9 65
Barner:
248 1624 6.5 80 21 19 232
Uhm so no. Not to mention Barner didn't play in the second half of 2/3 the games. Ball got it as a career award. I'm glad I didn't watch the award show. What a waste.

I guess having 5 or 6 more receptions and 180 or so more yards than the next guy is MUCH more important than having 54 more points than the other guy.

Rattay was a transfer
Quinton Patton is a damn good one too but he's JUCO so I don't know if that counts

Don't even bother. According to some on here Bailey wouldn't even be the #3 receiver at USC.

Austin was a badass too, surprised he wasn't up for anything..

Dat Nguyen won the Lombardi in 1998.

Austin was just a straight up freak - we will miss him more than anyone next year.
And him not getting any award-season love is way more egregious than everyone just handing the Biletnikoff to Lee like no one else was even worthy of consideration.

Dude. Seriously?
How am I wrong? I never said Lee wasn't a deserving winner - I have simply tried to point out that based on the body of work you could have made a strong argument to give it to any of the 3 finalists. Based on the on-field results, it sure as hell wasn't "Lee and everyone else" like people have been saying for weeks.

Ummmm......ok? Got a point? You actually trying to argue that it is right and correct to only pick individual winners from great teams? Just because that is the way of the world doesn't make it right.
