He hired those assistants, it’s a team game.
He changed assistants and the new ones have done better. He deserves credit for hiring better staff, that’s what a HC especially a CEO type is graded upon.
Look at Ed o, with good hires he had the greatest single season of all
Time in 2019. But when he lost those assistants he got fired in 2 seasons after that.
