FWIW I don't hate Chipper Jones. I have always pulled for the Braves even though I don't follow baseball too close. It's just my opinion that Chipper has been made out to be something he isn't by Braves Homers. He was a very solid player, no doubt, but I don't think he is a 1st ballot HOF'er... He is a borderline HOF IMO.

he was only in the middle of a lineup that won 14 consecutive division titles or whatever..
highly consistent hitter who has had his share of injuries the past few seasons.. yet still put up respectable numbers. it just 2 seasons ago or whatever everyone was wondering if he was gonna hit .400
chipper is neither underrated or overrated, but he may be under appreciated.
