I'm drinking the koolaid...David Price (after his velocity returns).

Trade Baez and all his K's and a few other good prospects (not solar) to the Rays and play ball.

supposedly they want to ink garza long term

Yea. I'd like that. He'd be a great veteran presence in the rotation. I do think we move him for a prospect around the deadline, and resign him in the offseason.
I think he will get Anibal type money.

I wouldn't mind being wrong, but i don't even see a slim chance of it playing out that way. If he goes, he's gone.

Infact I'd expect that before any team pulled the trigger on a trade for him they'd have agreed in principal to an extension with garza.

ha, won't happen. but a guy can dream. and on the plus side marmol would be gone so maybe they'd win a game (although he has pitched better). So for nothing else we have addition by subtraction.

marmol setting up for gregg...gonna party like it's 2005 (i think)

in all seriousness though fuji has looked good at iowa and back with the big club so lets hope he's who we hoped he is and as soon as gregg remembers who he is fuji steps in and locks that job down.

He's given up a total of 4 ER in his last three outings which totaled 21.1 innings. All three were at Wrigley. And the runs he gave up against the Padres shouldn't have happened. I guess you haven't watched like the last three weeks of the season.

I just hope Theo and Jed continue with their plan and don't let this season affect what they're going for in the long term.

I obviously dont watch every cubs game but last I checked he had a better ERA and less hits given up away from wrigley so I guess some things have changed the last 3 weeks
