CBS Sports threw out this NCAA Tourney sports fact

No NCAA 1st or 2nd seeded team has ever made the Final Four when Won by less than 15 points in the opening round.

Arkansas was a 2 seed in 95 and beat Texas Southern by 1 in the first round

2004 they were a 2 and beat Vermont by only 17. Not sure if that’s what you’re referring to, can’t think of anything else
Or maybe you’re thinking of 2014 when they played OT in the first round and won it all, but they were a 7 seed

Nah it was when they trailed Albany by 13 in the second half and ended up winning by 12 or so as a 1. Looked it up and they lost to George Mason in Elite Eight that year...so they didn’t actually make final four
