I've seen 'em for football and baseball. And just like college and super bowl championship rings, they just keep getting gaudier and gaudier over time.

I think so. My buddy who coaches there said they are really improving.

STM had a nice win over Catholic Baton Rouge last week on the road. Was surprising because STM didn't do much on offense for most of the game then hit a 55yd TD run to take the lead and the 14-10 score held. CHSBR has a very nice QB that can throw the ball, and STM's weakness on defense has been against the pass. But suspect play calling by CHSBR had them running the option with a pocket passer and allowed STM to hang around long enough to win the game

last sentence sums up Catholic's only loss

Exactly. That sentence is dead on.

I'm just worried the same thing might happen against Central. Last year, Central was averaging 41 points a game and Catholic's D held them to 17 points and the offense couldn't get it rolling

and yet they continued to do it last night

Sum up for the stm game:
muddy field + slippery hands + pocket passer + QB Draw/Option= Fumble and eventually 55 yard run to lose the game
