Not to dodge the question, but how many current MLB managers inherited a loaded World Champion year one?

And since you're dick-measuring MLB managers here, what Bruce Bochy has done in the last 6 years is INFINITELY more impressive than what Matheny has done.

And Joe Maddon inheriting a dumpster fire of a franchise and having them one game from the NLCS in one year? After getting the Rays to a World Series and 4 postseasons being forced to compete with the worst money and facilities in MLB with the Yankees and Red Sox? Yeah, I'll take him too.

In the NFL, the Bengals have made it to four straight postseasons and the Seahawks have not. Am I supposed to be impressed with that too?

If the Cardinals won the World Series in 2009 and 2010, the fanboys in this thread would offer it up as proof that the Cardinals dominated Major League Baseball for two decades.

I'm not arguing that Matheny is the greatest manager ever. It's just ludicrous to say that making the postseason 4 years in a row is meaningless. And that's what you said.

And then ducked the question when no one else has done it.

It is what I said. And I'm sticking by it. Because if 1/3 of all teams made the postseason during the entire 115 year history of MLB and not just the last four seasons, the number of managers who accomplished this "feat" would be well into the double digits.

It's about as significant as Curtis Martin's "first 10 seasons with 1,000 rushing yards" record. I mean, Jim Brown didn't even do that! Of course, Jim Brown played in the 12-game era and Curtis Martin played in the 16-game era. But it doesn't matter. HE DIDN'T DO IT. CURTIS MARTIN IS A HISTORY-MAKER!

So rather than admit you simply overstated your case, you continue to try to cover your arse with poor analogies and straw men.

You are a great poster.

No, but your question implies that you're a butt poker.

It's okay. There's nothing wrong with it, bruh...at least that's what politicians tell us.

I didn't bestow the "Best Looking Manager in Baseball" title upon him. There was a recent article that name him and Ausmus as the best looking managers in baseball. Matheny won.

But, let's not ignore the elephant in the room, which is your sexuality. It's okay to be gay, bruh.

Just accept it and you'll finally feel comfortable in your own skin.

He's lost three straight games four years in a row to be eliminated in the playoffs. That has to be a record.

Not gonna lie that sucks.

But I remind myself that at least the Cards are in the playoff every year.

Well, to be fair, I'm sure many teams like the Cubs would take the Cardinals resume over their historical resume any day of the week.

And you know it.
