First, no one wants that stuff around, second hand smoke has known health risks. Second, the stench is awful. Just go into a nonsmoking casino vs one where you can smoke or recently could. Third, I am incredibly surprised anyone smokes, it is a sign of being trashy and poor. Awful habit.

Re: CA sports betting ballot props. Sports betting has a limited constituency...my guess is that if they had to justify its benefits to an entire population it would be a lot tougher than just throwing money at legislators.

I saw the ads 40 times pro and 10x against.
the deal voted on was to give access to 2 corporations. one new york.
one Boston.
90% of income to go out of state. there were local benefits for native tribes to get 10% of the cut.
