No not really. SC was playing pretty shitty against some really bad teams leading into the Stanford mess

They barely got by UW and Zona. As for size with Oregon, that's what Michigan said and Oregon beat them in 03 and Cal was definitely smaller than UT last year.

Agree that Oregon is a monster at home...away from Autzen, not so much.

Actually this is not true. USC had a very ugly win against Washington before the Stanford game and yielded 31 to Nebraska (although a lot in garbage time).

plus they were skullfricked with injuries.

Nobody could've seen it coming (losing to Stanford), but USC definitely didn't look unstoppable before that game nor did people think so. I think this was more applicable to LSU after the kicked the shite outta Virginia Tech, I thought they were unstoppable!
