A new basketball school tops the polls.
1. NORTH CAROLINA (0-2) (unranked): Lost by 22 to a team that lost to North Carolina AT&T last week.
2. PURDUE (0-2) (unranked): Lost at home to Eastern Michigan. Brohm should have left last year.
3. ARIZONA (0-2) (+2): They looked God-awful against Houston yesterday.
4. UCLA (0-2) (+1): Predictably routed by Oklahoma.
5. RUTGERS (1-1) (unranked): Another bloodbath loss to Ohio State.
ALSO RECEIVING VOTES: Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida State, Oregon State, Pittsburgh
DROPPED OUT: Kansas, Oregon State, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas
