well no top tier program is a former jr college/trucking school that plays in a glorified high school stadium with blue turf

Since the BCS started the Boise St Donkeys are 8-12 against BCS opponenets. That is a 40% win percentage for the Donks.

Bowling Green State University is 10-16 against BCS opponents. That is a 38% win percentage for the mighty, mighty Falcons.

One could argue that the Donkeys deserve as much consideration as BGSU.

The difference is BGSU fans know our place. You won't hear us whining like a bunch of biotches if we don't get a BCS bowl game for just showing up.

We also have academic standards at Bowling Green.

From 2005 thru 2009 the WAC (minus Boise) went 29-95 agianst BCS conferences and the MWC.

That's a 24% winning percentage.

And we wonder why people say we don't play anyone.

No... that's not true at all. If Boise or TCU wants respect. They should schedule every OOC game on the road against the top schools in the major BCS conferences. Then when you run the table, you will get respect.

They are 2-10 in their last 12 true road games against ranked opponents.

so they play on the average less than 2 top 25 teams per year. that is the point i'm making. and usually it's the lower tier top 25.
Seven of the eight were 10-win schools.

School - Ranking at time of game - Final ranking (AP - easiest for me to find)
2006 Oklahoma - 7 - 11
2007 Hawaii - 14 - 19
2008 (loss) TCU - 11 - 7
2009 Oregon - 16 - 11
2009 TCU - 3 - 6
2010 Virginia Tech - 10 - 13 (won this weekend)
2010 Oregon State - 24 - -
2010 (loss) Nevada - 19 - 19 (won this weekend)

It isn't a coincidence that Boise State usually beats ranked teams, and it isn't because Boise is a trap game. Boise is just better than most BCS teams. They're an elite program. I don't see why this is so hard to understand.

LSU is 8-1 vs BCS teams THIS year....
And there are plenty of elite programs with worse records than LSU this year. The argument that LSU is better than Boise doesn't mean that Boise isn't a top ten program right now.

WHEN they can play more than just 8 BCS teams over a 5 year stretch and still produce the same results, you come get me.

When the big boys can beat Boise more consistently, you come get me.

You can't honestly think they are a top 10 program.

But I do. Because they are. They prove it on the field. Anytime this senior class has played against a 10-or-more-win BCS team, they've won.

If Boise didn't belong in these discussions, the big boys would be able to beat them with ease. But they can't.
