I meant to bold Louisville. Keep dreamin if you think the SEC would invite them over GA Tech or FSU, IMO.

I could see Arkansas going to big 12....

doubtful

some nerd on the radio this morning actually figured out that Ark still makes more money finishing in the middle of the pack in the SEC than they would if they won the Big12 -and had numbers to prove it

Then why in the hell has texas stayed with them for so long if there's basically no money in that conference comparatively speaking.

easier road for national championships IMO... and they do have big 12 roots i think...

I don't think we have to worry about Arky winning the MNC for a while. they can't recruit for shite.

No idea but I think thats a reason why they are hearing the Big 10 out right now. Texas and the aggies carry the conference financially.

football will be back under strong

hoops is as good a program as any this decade, as far as winning is concerned

baseball is preseason top 20. they would fit in perfectly

well, I wouldnt say 13 years is exactly a "long-time" in terms of college football

and I have no doubt UT would love nothing more than to get out from this crappy situation the Big12 has turned into. But, I also think that whatever the solution is, there are still some key parts of their participation in the conference that they want to hold onto, namely the Red River Shootout and the A&M game, and the Tech game to a lesser degree. I dont get the sense from anyone here that they are open to making any sort of adjustments to their current situation that doesnt involve at least those other 2 schools.

This whole thing could've been easily avoided had they just done a better job as a conference in negotiating a better TV deal. Of course, they only realize it now, after the fact.

What of the rumors of Pitino going to the NBA? Although I'm sure those come up frequently. Why would he leave Louisville when he has the key to every restaurant there for after hours extra marital romps?

I'm afraid to start a new thread for this but if you would start a 12 team big boy conference of anyone across the country... best of the best... you can break it down into two divisions... who would be in it?
