Candidates:
Oregon
Va Tech
West Virginia
Wisconsin
Boise St.

Georgia has 1 legit NC in 1980 and could claim as many as 5.

Oregon = good candidate

Yeah, I remember as a kid Georgia and Herschel Walker winning the national championship in 1980. Kinda thought you were talking about the BCS era.

If only going by the BCS era then it would be

Georgia
Oregon
auburn( )
Virginia Tech
Boise State(Yes I can't stand them and I know they play in a crappy conference, but they still have a good program)
Utah

There are others, but I don't feel like thinking of them right now.

I thought I heard one time that WVU had never won a national championship. If so they are a pretty good candidate.

I said just in the BCS era. In the BCS era auburn is one of the best football programs to not win a NC. The ( ) is just because I hate admitting it. How the frick is that flaming?
