Men among boys. Baylor went through Gonzaga like Alabama went through Ohio State.

Underrated and overlooked great team, I mean they were underdogs entering this title game but responded well to every challenge Gonzaga offered in the game, didn’t stand out as the dominant team throughout the regular season as they shared the top spotlight with Gonzaga and Michigan at times but amounted to probably the most well-rounded team in the country

I actually think that’s 2018 Villanova (the dominant team of that season and furthered that reputation in the tournament) but this Baylor team may go down as an underrated great team bc Gonzaga occupied the spotlight most of the year and appeared to be the most dominant team throughout.

I think there's a decent chance Baylor could have run the table if they weren't forced out of action for 3 weeks in the middle of the season. They didn't hit their stride again until the tournament.

The '71-'72 and '72-'73 UCLA teams went 60-0 and was ranked No 1 for that entire span. And unlike '76 Indiana that was taken to OT twice, those UCLA teams destroyed everything in their wake.

That theory makes sense though they finished the regular season strong with double-digit wins over ranked Oklahoma State and Texas Tech then proceeded to lose to Oklahoma State in the conference tournament, maybe more like they don’t lose to Kansas at Allen that game or make it a closer game.

And if they played again tomorrow, Gonzaga would still be favored.

There is zero chance Gonzaga would be favored in a rematch.

Nova didn’t play a team as good as this zags squad.

Or this Arkansas squad that gave Baylor their closest test and was the only team to come back to make it a game from getting pounced on early like what Baylor did to everyone.
