It’s simple. Get the balls estimated value . Offer to player for 75%. If they don’t accept that tough titty

Yeah - this was my first thought too - who would shell out big money to some stranger who said he caught the famous HR ball

You'd have to be prepared with all sorts of documentation and proven chain of custody to get any kind of serious $$ for it
