Just looking at the matchups, it appears most of the B10 teams (with the exception of NW) are paired agasint better opponents... but bowl games are hard to figure out... how much heart will UGA have after losing out on a possible BCSNC and the a majority of their defense looking forward to the NFL draft?
Stanford is a tough matchup for Wisconsin.. they'll stop UW running game.
I'll say 3-4 for the Big Ten(wins by michigan, NW, and Nebraska).

Because I think the whole rooting for your conference thing is stupid. I couldn't care less what others think about the Big Ten. The conference could run the table and people would still say it sucks. Plus, the coaches snubbed a decent amount of Buckeyes from the all conference team, so frick them. Their Urban butthurt is so obvious.

Only really the case last year. If Ohio State wasn't bowl banned, an undefeated Buckeyes team would have gotten the nod over a one loss Alabama. Even when the Big Ten hit rock bottom this year.

They are. Two of the better Big 10 teams are out = worse Big Ten teams then move up to take their spots.

Basically the entire Big Ten is playing up two spots in their bowl games. As much as I hate to say it Penn State is the second best team in the Big Ten this season.

No way, but they are much better than they should be.
On a whole, I'd say:
1. OSU
2. Nebraska
3. Michigan
4. Penn St
5. Northwestern
6. Wisconsin
7-12=Suckfest
But, it's a big problem when arguably your 6th best team is in the Rose Bowl, and everyone is playing, as you said, 1-2 spots ahead of where they should be.

On paper and the eye test i would agree with you, but you never know when it comes to bowl games. Crazy stuff happens in college football. You give any team 30+ days to prepare for an oppenent and anything can happen.

This. If I'm rooting for a team, conference affiliation is irrelevant. $$$ has nothing to do with that statement either
