I wasn't that big on the move when it was going down yesterday.
I just view the guy as a luxury...not a necessity, and the truth is there are alot of necessities we need to address this offseason without forking over major cash for somebody we would like to have, but don't really need.

I think they may sign a Beltran or someone like that to a 2 year deal instead. at least you know what you will get with that kind of a player.

I would love that.
This team desperately needs 2 corner outfielders that can hit with a little power, and a bullpen overhaul.
If Crane was going to fork out 55 mil on one guy, I expect the same amount to be thrown at those pieces as a whole.

Remember anyone you sign, you have to beat out 29 other teams. Finding reasons not to sign a guy is why they spent less than $20M on salaries last year. MLB should kick the astros out if they have another 100 loss season.
