No, Aaron Sachs is family so we go with them.

Actually have it to ourselves though he's out of town.

I drank absinthe and rye whiskey with Aaron Sachs at a wedding last weekend. Incredibly good drink. I believe the drink is called a Sazerac.

How are you related? Your side or your wife's side (I assume you're married).

Haha, Aaron is a good guy. Did he sing? He sang at my brothers wedding. He's actually very good.

Actually through his wife Shelly and my dad. I'm not married I'm only 24 F that.

Spend Christmas and Thanksgiving at their lake house every year.

He didn't sing. He was just Aaron Sachs being Aaron Sachs while a few people would randomly whisper, "Hey, that's Aaron Sachs."

My wife and I thought it was funny.

Lake house...where is it at? Table Rock?

Yeah, as nice as you would imagine it.

Although I'm not a big Table Rock fan.

I'm a huge Table Rock fan. Down there at least a couple of weekends per month. We have a family condo and boat on the lake.

Beat Lake of the Ozarks because you can go out on the lake without fear of being swamped or hit by a drunk driver.

I meant more for fishing. I go to a couple Kansas lakes for fishing, will fish Table Rock on Aaron's dock just cause it's close and private but if I want to really fish I'm in Kansas.

Well, fishing is a different matter altogether.

I thought you meant for recreational fun.

I'd still rather go to Lake of the Ozarks most of the time, but that's me.

Well yeah, you're 24. Lake of the Ozarks is the place to be. When I was 21 and 22 I worked as a bellman/valet at Lodge of Four Seasons.

Imcredibly awesome summer job! Killer tips (a couple hundred per day with weekends double), amazing parties with interns and other college talent, and all around fun times.

Close. A well made Sazerac is a great cocktail. One I'm upset to be leaving behind. But yeah absinthe (or an approximation), rye whiskey, and some bitters make for a Sazerac. No ice, but great sipping.

Exactly. I drank a couple and that was enough!

Totally surprised by how good it was. I thought I'd hate it due to the rye whisky.

Changed my world.

Just because you're moving back to MO doesn't mean you can't still enjoy the drink. Plus, you can now purchase real absinthe, although it is FAR overpriced right now. We've moved beyond the fake absinthe after chemists discovered that the banned thujone levels weren't high enough to be illegal. They compared the thujone levels of popular American absinthe with the most popular European absinthe and found the spirits had nearly identical levels of thujone. Hence why absinthe is once again legal in the US.

No doubt. But leaving the place where it was invented definitely gives me my doubts.

I really like STL, but I love NOLA. What I'll leave behind in fancy, well made cocktails, I'll make up for in well made craft brews.

I love NOLA too. My favorite place to visit. My parents were married there, family vacations there, and I went to NOLA for five consecutive New Years Eves, including the millennium bash.

I have stories...seedy stories to tell.

Well, at some point, we're going to have an SEC summit in Springfield. I'm looking forward to it.

To be honest, the Springfield/Branson/Southwestern part of the state is God's country. Beautiful. Missouri paradise.

Springfield is a great place to live.
