Are the Yankees for real?

Boston has 2 very good pitchers in Lester and Clay however they have Lackey, Dempster, and possibly Doubront who look to be more back of rotation inning eater type of guys.
With Ortiz you have to wonder (same with Jeter) when will he hit that wall? He can provide an emotional spark for that team and you have to think Nava will come back down to earth. Napoli will provide them with power along with a .240 average or so but and right now they are hot.

I wouldn't say "for real" because of how early it is and Rays/Jays really haven't gotten it together but the O's, Yanks, and Sox should all battle for the wild card positions in my opinion. (I think think the Rays get it straight and win division)

I think Doubront has a chance to be a good 2 pitcher, his strike out numbers are always up there.

I can agree with them being hot, and I'm waiting for the year Ortiz is done. That being said, Webster looks intriguing and I think Will Middlebrooks gets his shite together and becomes what he was last year.

Nova has been close to the same

Nova 2013: 9.82 K/9
2012: 8.08 K/9

Doubront 2013: 11/34 K/9
2012: 9.34 K/9

So these two could be similar, of course AJ Burnett posted 8+ K/9 when he was younger as well.

Still not sold on him.... He started off on fire last year and tailed off near end of year. He doesn't walk a whole lot and will strike out a ton with more at bats

I don't think he will ever be a consistent .280_ hitter honestly u he will provide some pop with the bat

He spent more time on the DL than actually playing.

Based on the division they are in, I say yes.

There's really not any great team in that division. Most of them are average even. They all have weaknesses, so I don't see how Boston's are any greater than anyone else's.
