Goddamn.

Where are you finding the 5-5-10 games? The only time I've seen PLO that size live was at the Horseshoe in Tunica in '09, and Chris Moneymaker was spewing chips everywhere.

jeez, they either have you figured out or they are the nittiest of nits

image problem. they were the only 2 players who gave any thought to calling/betting and knew i wasn't a donk

KK agonized for like 3 minutes. we had talked at a previous PLO session and he knew i wasn't going to lead pot into 5 people without having the goods. 88 knows me from NLHE, didn't waste time, and showed.

like i said i should have checked. lost like $4k (i had 2 back on the flop) b/c i was scared of a gutter staying around

*ETA: my point (other than needling myself) is that isn't THAT insane of a situation. a 3bet and 4-5 players in the pot. you can't apply online logic/style to live PLO, at least in the games i play in. you get way too much action and have to smash flops or hit your draws pretty consistently. seeing guys (and 2 girls in particular) drop $3-5k in like an hour is par for the course

they run it 2-3 times a week here at Lauberge. sometimes it's 5-10-25 and that game is INSANELY huge. both are uncapped

i'll almost guarantee you the game will run tomorrow night

Fridays, most Saturdays and like Wed (i think. there is a weeknight game every week and i don't remember which day it is)

Damn, that's awesome. How big are the NLHE games down there?

Also, I saw about a month ago you were going to try and build your roll from $300(i think) to 12k. How's that going?

20k was the goal this year. i was up to 10k and i had a bad run (partly b/c of the last PLO session ) and i'm at 7k

my mindset wasn't right and i wasn't running well so i haven't really been playing much. putting my focus elsewhere. i don't think that it's very likely i get the 7k up to 20k now without putting in an insane amount of hours and i'm not sure if i am that committed or if i should even been playing right now

i primarily play 2-5 uncapped but i only buy in for $500. most people buy in 1-3k, though

Same. Except I haven't played in the last 3 years or so. I went to winstar a couple of weeks ago and could tell I wasn't ahead mentally. Just played 1/2 and came out about $200 ahead, but I wasn't confident coming out of it. That was the first casino live action I've had in around 5 years.

After doing some reading, it seems like strategies have really evolved over the last 5 years. I'm really starting to study again and figured out new new strats. I've deposited money online, which is something I've never done, just because of the sheer volume of hands you can see. Essentially, I've challenged myself and am rebuilding my game from the ground up. I only deposited $75 and am starting at micro levels, and will go up in stakes if/when reach 50 buy-ins for the next level.

The problem is that the rake fricking crushes you in MSNL on ACR, so mainly been playing SNGs. It's a slow grind.

Set of 8s sucks on that flop IMO. If someone 3 bets preflop and A hits board and still they bet into 5 people, you have to give them credit.
