Some really good teams used to play national tournaments in Texas.

Well, okay. I don't recall anthems at the tournies but right, we would not have kneeled.

I know a few guys that used to play. Didn't they have the sugar bowl tournament out at Uno back then?

Not sure. From Mobile, we would see these guys in Dallas usually. Austin one year and once in Shreveport. Great times.
One really good team had a QB nicknamed Rocket, an attorney in New Orleans if I recall right. Those guys were a little older but were like Globetrotters the way they moved the ball.
