There's been a lot of talk recently that Kim, a two-time PGA Tour winner who also played for Team USA in the Ryder Cup, might be making a return to golf after 12 years. Both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf have shown interest in bringing him back to the professional game.
According to Barstool Sports, it seems like Kim, who's 38 and from Los Angeles, has chosen to join LIV Golf. His comeback is expected to happen in March when the league goes to Jeddah for it's third event of the season.
LIV Golf has changed their tournament format for 2024 with the addition of their huge offseason recruit Jon Rahm. Before, the Saudi-backed series had 48 players divided across 12 teams.
The report suggests that LIV bosses offered to cover the insurance policy to encourage Kim to make his comeback with their Saudi-funded setup. A reduced wildcard spot with the breakaway league might be just what the American star needs given his recent fitness struggles.

Laurie Canter got the message. Currently top 10 at -4, taking advantage of his opportunity to play as a wildcard while he can
