Perhaps not as stupid as the other one, but..

Why don't offenses pass more from the GLF? Defenses jammed in, tight ends line up tight but go straight to the corners.

You hardly ever see this, at least in the NFL

It could probably effective for short passes but not much of a deep threat.

Seems like LSU always runs out of the goal line formation even though the defense loads the box.

You would only be able to use two, maybe three, people to go out for a pass. The defense would read that quickly and you would have 4-5 people drop back. It's a numbers game.

PA pass to this happens all the time. But it's pretty easy to get a single yard; especially if you just need to break the line by leaping over the top and extend the ball.

risk/reward is my answer.

Less likely to turn it over when you run the ball behind the center. Interceptions happen fairly often from the 2 yardline.

Making sure you walk away with points is VERY important inside the redzone.

There's not enough field to work with and receivers to the outside is the only option with the defense being stacked in the middle. If you do pass over the middle, you have to lob it to get over the linemen which gives them enough time to cover...usually.

PA rollout to the tight end with the option to run is the perfect goal line play. Damn near unstoppable.

Alot if teams tell their defensive ends to lock on to the tight end. If the tight end releases, the defensive end has him man to man.

Offenses usually attempt a PA pass on 2nd down and goal after failing to score on 1st.
